Engineer Femi Sanni (Araba), All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship aspirant, has expressed profound relief and gratitude following the release of the victims abducted from Woro Community in Kwara State, describing their freedom as a moment of joy for their families and the entire state.

He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the nation’s security agencies for the coordinated efforts that culminated in the victims’ release, noting that the outcome underscores the importance of sustained collaboration in tackling insecurity.

“The return of these victims is a reminder that every life matters. While we celebrate their freedom today, we must also remember the trauma, fear and uncertainty they and their loved ones endured throughout this painful ordeal. Our thoughts remain with them as they begin the journey of healing and recovery,” Araba said.

He also paid tribute to the resilience and unity of Kwarans, particularly the people of Woro, traditional rulers, religious leaders, community groups and the media, whose sustained concern, prayers and advocacy kept the plight of the abductees in the public consciousness and reinforced the urgency of securing their freedom.

Araba urged security agencies not to relent in dismantling criminal networks threatening peaceful communities across the state.

“The best celebration of this successful outcome is to ensure that no family has to experience such anguish again. We must continue to strengthen intelligence gathering, deepen community collaboration and remain vigilant against all forms of criminality,” he added.

He rejoiced with the released victims, their families and the entire Woro community, praying for their complete recovery and lasting peace across Kwara State and Nigeria.
