Zack Snyder’s ‘The Last Photograph’ to Make World Premiere at TIFF ’26 Special Screening

Director’s latest action thriller, starring Stuart Martin and Fra Free, to debut September 13 at TIFF’s new John Bassett Theatre venue

The Toronto International Film Festival has announced a special screening of Zack Snyder’s The Last Photograph, which will make its World Premiere on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 6:30pm in the John Bassett Theatre, TIFF’s new screening venue at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

The film, directed by Snyder, known for 300, Watchmen, and Man of Steel, follows an ex-DEA agent who embarks on a revenge mission in a South American jungle, where dangerous terrain and inner demons intermingle. The cast is led by Stuart Martin (Army of Thieves) and Fra Free (Hawkeye), delivering a gripping tale of survival and retribution.

Public tickets for the Special Event screening go on sale today at 12pm ET. The screening at the newly inaugurated John Bassett Theatre marks a significant addition to the TIFF ’26 lineup, as the Festival continues to showcase world-class cinema in state-of-the-art venues.

The 51st edition of the Toronto International Film Festival, presented by Rogers, runs from September 10 to 20, 2026, with Snyder’s film expected to be one of the most anticipated premieres of the Festival.
