The Chairman of FlowFM 92.7, Araba Femi Sanni, has joined a league of eminent Nigerians in celebrating a respected elder statesman and chieftain of the Afenifere socio-cultural group, Chief Abagun Kole Omololu, on the auspicious occasion of his 70th birthday.
Araba Sanni extolled Chief Omololu’s decades of unwavering dedication to public service, community development, and the advocacy for progressive ideals in Yorubaland and Nigeria at large.
“On this landmark birthday, we celebrate more than just the years; we celebrate a lifetime of impactful contributions,” stated Araba Femi Sanni.
“Chief Abagun Kole Omololu’s life has been a pointer to principled leadership and a deep commitment to the welfare of his people. His wisdom and resilience continue to inspire a generation. The stateman was one of the eminent Nigerians deeply entrenched in the NADECO struggle for democracy in nigeria despite being abroad and never did relax pressure on the millitary government till Nigeria’s eventual return to democracy.
NADECO was a pivotal Nigerian pro-democracy group formed in 1994 to oppose military dictatorship. It campaigned relentlessly to restore the annulled June 12, 1993, presidential election. This group organized resistance both home and abroad significantly pressured the regime and helped restore civilian democracy in 1999.
Araba Sanni prayed that God Almighty would grant Chief Omololu many more years in excellent health and renewed strength, enabling him to continue his noble service and mentorship to the nation.
Chief Abagun Kole Omololu, a seasoned administrator and a prominent figure in Nigeria’s political and socio-cultural landscape adds another year. He is widely recognized for his insightful perspectives and active role in national discourse.
