…The SKILL UP WITH CAROLAURA training equipped beauty professionals with advanced hairstyling techniques, business management strategies and customer service skills
The SKILL UP WITH CAROLAURA training programme concluded yesterday in Ondo city with a graduation ceremony that saw over 70 salon owners receiving certificates after days of intensive free training.

The initiative, which targeted beauty professionals in the state, provided participants with practical skills in advanced hairstyling, business management and customer relations, all aimed at strengthening their enterprises and raising industry standards.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the principal organiser, Caroline Ejibunu (Carolaura) described the event as the successful culmination of a vision to empower salon owners and beauty professionals.
She noted that what started as an idea to uplift practitioners in the beauty industry had become a reality through the dedication and commitment of the participants, who gave up their time to sharpen their skills at no cost.
The training covered not only technical hairstyling techniques but also essential business knowledge, including financial management, marketing strategies and customer service approaches designed to help graduates build more sustainable and profitable ventures.
The programme, which brought together over 70 salon owners from across Ondo city, was made possible through the support of partners, sponsors, volunteers and media representatives.
The organisers expressed appreciation to all those who contributed to the success of the initiative, with special mention of their partner, Hair Harmony NG, for their role in making the training a remarkable achievement.
Graduates were urged to wear their certificates with pride and to let their skills, professionalism and creativity speak for them as they return to their businesses. The organisers emphasised that the graduation was not an end but a beginning, encouraging participants to continue learning, inspire others and raise the bar for the beauty industry in their communities.
The SKILL UP WITH CAROLAURA Class of 2026 leaves the programme equipped with renewed confidence and sharper skills, with organisers looking forward to celebrating the success stories and positive impacts the graduates will make in the months and years ahead. The future, they said, is brighter, the skills are sharper and the possibilities are endless.
