…As AMBO promises grants, interest-free loans
The campaign trail of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Osun state, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) on Thursday garnered a momentum as market men, women and traders at the popular Igbonna market, Osogbo declared support for his candidacy.
The traders in their numbers trooped out and gathered at the market square, where they openly identified with and declared their support to work assiduously for the emergence of the APC governorship flag-bearer.
This is just as Oyebamiji pledged to prioritize regular grants and interest-free loans for market men, women, traders , artisans and business owners in the state.
Speaking at the endorsement ceremony, held at the Igbonna market square in Olorunda Local Government Area, Osogbo, the Babaloja General for Osun State, Chief David Iyiola attributed the endorsement to the Oyebamiji’s impeccable and remarkable track-records in both public and private sectors.
Chief Iyiola, whose Otun Babaloja, Igbonna market, Chief Muideen Ajao and Secretary, Igbonna market, Mrs. Okunoye Temitope spoke on his behalf expressed readiness of the people of the market to vote massively for APC in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
“We are here to publicly and openly declare our unflinching support and endorsement for the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) in whom we are pleased to vote massively for and work assiduously for in order to ensure his emergence at the poll.
“We have resolved to mobilize massively and canvass for votes for him come August 15th, 2026. Our vote is our right and our power, and we are going to give our votes to AMBO as our preferred candidate.
“Our conviction on Oyebamiji’s victory is not farfetched as it is rooted in his competence, capacity, capability and wherewithal to bring the desired change and transformation for our state in general and market women in specific.
“We firmly believe that when Oyebamiji becomes Osun Governor all that we are currently suffering from will be fixed and we strongly believe in his words that he is going to support us and put smiles to our faces.
“Our advice for market men and women including traders, sellers and buyers here at Igbonna market and other markets across the state to come out in large numbers to vote massively for the APC governorship candidate, Oyebamiji”, Mrs. Temitope appealed.
In his short remarks, Oyebamiji expressed great delight over the impressive turnouts of the market men and women.
He described the endorsement as a testament to the Will of God and public support being enjoyed since his resolve to run for the governorship seat in the state.
Oyebamiji reaffirmed his avowed commitment and determination to give all the markets in the state facelift of development and genuine transformation when elected Governor.
He reiterated his resolve to painstakingly formulate and develop policies and programmes that would be driven by grants to the market men and women, as well as interest-free loan to support small and medium scale businesses in the state.
