The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has intensified its waste evacuation activities along Ago Palace Way and the broader Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), as part of the Authority’s sustained commitment to keeping every part of Lagos clean, healthy, and livable. The operation, which involves sanitation crews working across major roads, inner streets, and communities, is aimed at clearing accumulated waste and restoring environmental order to one of Lagos’s busy residential and commercial corridors.

The evacuation exercise is part of LAWMA’s ongoing efforts to ensure that no community is left behind in the pursuit of a cleaner Lagos. According to the Authority, teams remain on the ground daily, clearing waste, restoring environmental cleanliness, and ensuring that refuse is promptly evacuated to prevent environmental nuisance. The exercise has brought relief to residents and business owners along Ago Palace Way, where waste accumulation had become a significant challenge.

The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that all communities in Lagos enjoy a clean and healthy environment, urging residents to support the government’s efforts by disposing of waste responsibly and patronising assigned PSP operators. LAWMA emphasized that environmental cleanliness is a shared responsibility that requires the cooperation of all stakeholders, including residents, businesses, and community leaders.

Residents and business owners along Ago Palace Way and other parts of the State are encouraged to continue to patronise approved PSP operators and avoid indiscriminate waste disposal, as the Authority remains committed to sustaining the gains of the exercise. LAWMA assured residents that the ongoing interventions would be sustained until the entire corridor is fully restored to environmental order.
