The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has cleared the median at the Adeleke Sanni Street junction as part of its sustained sanitation operations across the state. The exercise forms part of the Authority’s ongoing commitment to restoring environmental order and keeping public spaces free of indiscriminate waste accumulation.

Along the Isefum Ayobo Road corridor, evacuation and loading operations are still in progress. LAWMA sanitation crews have been deployed to the area, working systematically to remove accumulated waste from the road median. Several spots along the Isefum Ayobo median have already been cleared, with teams continuing the exercise to ensure that the entire stretch is fully restored to cleanliness.

The Authority noted that the operation remains ongoing and that crews will remain on ground until all identified blackspots along the corridor are fully evacuated. The sustained monitoring of the area is also being maintained to prevent a return of indiscriminate dumping, in line with LAWMA’s zero-waste tolerance policy.
Residents and business owners along the affected corridors are encouraged to keep their waste properly containerised and to patronise approved PSP operators for collection. The Authority reiterated that environmental cleanliness is a shared responsibility and called for the cooperation of all stakeholders in sustaining the gains of the ongoing operations.

LAWMA reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Lagos, urging members of the public to report any environmental violations through its official channels.
