The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has cleared multiple environmental blackspots along the Ayobo-Ipaja and Iyana Ipaja corridors, as the Authority continues its sustained sanitation drive across the State. The operations, which involved multiple trucks and sanitation crews, targeted medians, bus stops, and roadside locations where refuse had accumulated over time, restoring these public spaces to dignity.

In the Ayobo-Ipaja axis, MO89 led a comprehensive cleanup of multiple locations, including Ultimate Microfinance Bank median, Justrite median, Church bus stop median, and Opeki Ayobo-Ipaja road by Mouka Foam, which was cleared by LT 01. LT 02 cleared the inward Chevron, Eleganza Tollgate, Akinyele Bus Stop median, Opeki Bus Stop median, and Federal Bus Stop median by Millennium Restaurant.

MO90 cleared Iyana Ipaja median by New Era junction and Lagger junction, while int 007 cleared the Cartepillar blackspot, Cartepillar bus stop, and Ayobo road median by Low Cost Estate Abesan. GTB Bank was cleared by 08 LAWMA. The operations ensured that these busy corridors were fully restored to cleanliness, bringing relief to residents and commuters along the Ayobo-Ipaja axis.

In the Iyana Ipaja corridor, clearing operations were conducted at Falola Street median and the Ipaja Ayobo Road median, ensuring that these key transport routes were fully restored. The operations reflect LAWMA’s unwavering commitment to environmental cleanliness and public health, as the Authority continues to deploy resources across the State to ensure that no community is left behind in the pursuit of a cleaner Lagos.

The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing environmental laws and ensuring that all residents and businesses comply with sanitation regulations. Residents are encouraged to support these efforts by patronising approved PSP operators and avoiding indiscriminate waste disposal, as environmental cleanliness remains a shared responsibility that requires the cooperation of all stakeholders.
