The Tokunbo Wahab, Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources in Lagos State, has received members of the Eko57 Group, a civic-minded coalition of eminent Lagosians drawn largely from the entertainment industry.

The delegation, led by Adams Kehinde, visited the commissioner’s office a few days ago to brief him on the group’s mobilisation plans and long-term engagement strategy aimed at promoting civic responsibility and community development across the state.

Speaking after the meeting, Wahab commended the group for its passion and commitment to initiatives that promote progress and responsible citizenship in Lagos.

According to him, the group’s vision aligns with the broader goals of the Lagos State Government to encourage citizen participation in governance and community-based development.

During the interaction, members of the group shared their plans for sustained engagement and outlined strategies to expand their activities across communities in the state.

Wahab, who is described as one of the pioneers of the initiative, assured the group of his support and encouraged members to remain focused and consistent in achieving their objectives.

He also expressed optimism that the activities of the group would yield positive outcomes for communities across Lagos.

The commissioner further wished the Eko57 Group success in its operations, noting that partnerships between government and civic-focused organisations remain key to strengthening community engagement and development across the state.
